Gary Stephenson proposes an experiment to show that stimulated emission of gravitational waves is achievable in the laboratory. He builds on Halpern and Laurent in 1964, Ford in 1982 and Fontana's 2012 high-temperature superconductor gaser. Ford showed that with enough quantum radiators the difference between semiclassical and quantum emission should be measurable. Josephson junctions joining an s-wave to a d-wave superconductor can force spin-2 transitions that trigger gravitational wave emission. He outlines phased-array gravitational wave emitters built from such junctions, and the next step is to build and test the hardware.
