In one minute
Hubler proposes a conventional thermomechanical and electromagnetic explanation for surface marks attributed to exotic vacuum objects or charge clusters. He compares published observations with pulsed laser deposition, pulsed electron beams and vacuum arcs, whose energy pulses eject material from solid targets. The suggested mechanism produces a small charged jet of target material through heating, vapor pressure and electrostatic forces. The paper relates holes, tracks and elongated shapes to the motion and plastic flow of this material, using shaped-charge behavior as an analogy. These comparisons provide a heuristic hypothesis, without a new controlled demonstration establishing the proposed explanation. The conclusion calls for thermomechanical and electromagnetic modeling to validate or invalidate the hypothesis.
