In one minute
Takaaki Musha starts from a paradox: in Einstein's theory, vacuum zero-point energy cut off at the Planck frequency would curve the universe into a singularity. The resulting radius of curvature would be orders of magnitude smaller than an atomic nucleus. Building on Sakharov's idea and Puthoff's model of gravity as an interaction between particles and the zero-point field, he develops a zero-point-field theory of gravity. The derivation adapts Jordan-Mbeutchou's model, which treats gravity as an interaction between matter and a fluid filling space. In this theory energy has no equivalent gravitational mass, so the vacuum energy does not collapse the universe, no graviton is needed, and gravity is an electromagnetic effect induced by the zero-point field.
